George Nigh - Definition and Overview

George Nigh (b. June 9, 1927), served as Governor of Oklahoma on two separate occassions. He served breifly in January, 1963, following the resignation of Governor J. Howard Edmondson. From 1979 to 1987, he served two elected terms as Governor. Most recently, he served as President of the University of Central Oklahoma, retiring from that post in 1997.
