Get Fuzzy is a daily comic strip written and drawn by Darby Conley. The strip features the day-to-day adventures of advertising executive Rob Wilco and his two anthropomorphic pets: his cat Bucky Katt, and his dog Satchel Pooch. Rob is a sports fan and named both pets after stars of baseball's Negro Leagues – Buck O'Neil and Satchel Paige; Bucky also has only a single "buck" tooth.
Bucky and Satchel's personalities contrast in an interesting fashion. Bucky is cruel and demented, while Satchel is sweet, trusting, and at times quite naive (Bucky once sold Satchel his own nerf football by puting "Super" above "nerf" to make it a "super nerf"). Even after a cyclist ran over his arm, Satchel does not believe in revenge or in placing blame. Rob is often a little frazzled from dealing with these two, or more specifically from dealing with Bucky's destructive nature and overall nastiness. Occasionally, Bucky has expressed his friendship for Satchel in times of Satchel's crises. More often, Bucky has expressed his inbreed Siamese hostility via Satchel. In fact, house rule number four is "the dog is not a toy".
In additon to baseball, Rob also follows rugby and ice hockey; he is a science fiction fan and often wears clothing related to his interests, such as a WETA hat, a Quebec Nordiques jersey, or his USMC t-shirt. Rob works at an advertising firm; he is sometimes quite critical of the ad campaigns he has helped create.
Other characters that show up on occasion are:
- Joe Doman - Rob's friend and co-worker
- Rob's dad Francis - a retired firefighter
- Fungo Squiggly - a neighboring ferret whom Bucky completely dislikes
- Chubby Huggs - a large fat touchy-feely cat who loves to embrace Bucky and tell him how much he loves him.
- Various other anthropomorphic animal friends.
A number of books have been produced, as well as treasuries. The treasuries contain two previous books in one binding (with some color strips):
- Groovitude - contains The Dog Is Not a Toy and Fuzzy Logic
- Bucky Katt's Big Book of Fun - contains The Get Fuzzy Experience and Blueprint for Disaster
