Gheorghe Muresan (born February 14, 1971) is a former NBA player. A 7'7" (2.31m) center, Muresan is one of the two tallest men to ever play in the NBA, Manute Bol being the other. Muresan is a native of Romania. He played college basketball at Cluj University in Romania. He played professional baketball in Europe in 1992 and was an instant hit with fans. The NBA took intrest in him and he was drafted by the Washington Bullets in 1993. He played from in the NBA from 1993 to 2000. In those years he played with the Washington Bullets (1993-1998) and the New Jersey Nets (1998-2000). His averages for his whole career were 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. After leaving the NBA, Muresan played European basketball again for three more years before returning to live in New Jersey with his family.
He also dabbled in acting, receiving good reviews as the title character in the 1998 movie My Giant.
