Giuseppi Fanelli - Definition and Overview

Giuseppi Fanelli (1826-1877) came to Spain in 1868 on a journey planned by anarchist Mikhail Bakunin in order to recruit members for the First International. He addressed a small group of workers, including Anselmo Lorenzo, some of whom then dedicated their lives to the anarchist cause. His trip to Spain can be marked as the effective beginning of the Spanish anarchist movement.
