What takes days, weeks and months to do can now be done at the touch of the button and made in seconds. Communications has never been easier. The internet and e-mail has made possible audio, text and picures be sent and received almost instantaniously, thus making communication effortless. In the business world, this is a tremendous advantage. It makes communication between plants and manufacturing centres across the world very efficient thus speeding up integration between world economies. Competition and perfect information on the availability of resources, may it be capital, labor, technology and raw material which is the corner stone of a laize-faire system thus has been enhanced. With globalisation and the internet technology, resources can be more efficiently allocated for the the whole world to enjoy. The challenge is to make the technology available to all nations and economies in the world. The digital divide between developed and developing nations need to be addressed. The infrastucture to make this possible must be made available to developing nations at a very low cost. Developed countries must assist these nations.
