Goldeneye - Definition and Overview

A goldeneye can be:

• A duck belonging to the genus Bucephala, which includes
  • Bucephala clangula, the Common Goldeneye
  • Bucephala islandica, Barrow's Goldeneye
  • Bucephala albeola, Bufflehead

These are small seaducks. Their plumage is black and white, and the eat fish, crustaceans and other marine life.

• A flower belonging to the plant Family Asteraceae in the genus Viguiera (goldeneye) or Heliomeris (false goldeneye)
