Gothenburg University, or Göteborgs universitet, is a university in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was founded in 1891.

Part of the university is the originally separate Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law. The Sahlgrenska University Hospital is associated with the university as a teaching hospital.
