Gottfried Mind (1768-1811) was a German autistic savant who specialized in drawing.
Gottfried Mind was born at Berne in 1768. He never learned to read or write or understand money. However, he expressed a talent for drawing.
Mind drew and made sketches in watercolour. His main subjects were children and animals, especially cats and he gained a nickname, "Cats' Raphael". He gained international fame and George IV bought one of drawings.
Gottfried Mind died 1811.
