In 1993 Graham Barnfield began writing on cultural politics in the United States under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He also comments on documentary representation, leading to frequent radio appearances discussing reality television. A Fellow of the Wolfsonian-FIU, he teaches journalism at the University of East London.
As a teenager, he was vocalist in Leicester rock band the Marmite Sisters. More recently he has developed a sideline as a bit-part actor.
