Grandfather Mountain is a mountain near the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Linville, North Carolina. It is the tallest in the Blue Ridge Range, at 5964 feet. It is privately owned and operated as a nature preserve and a tourist attraction. It is best known for its mile-high swinging bridge.
