Gravity Kills - Definition and Overview

Gravity Kills were an American industrial rock band from Saint Louis, Missouri.

The band was formed in 1994. They had their first hit single with "Guilty" off of their album Gravity Kills. Appearances on the soundtracks for Mortal Kombat and Seven also helped bring exposure. However, they were thought of by both the public and the media as a mere imitation of Nine Inch Nails. Their only other successful singles afterwards were "Falling", off of Perversion and "One Thing", from Superstarved, though both were only minor successes. Following a severe injury to keyboardist Doug Firley's hands, they were unable to complete a tour for "Superstarved" and broke up in 2002.
