Great Southern Highway is a Western Australia highway linking Great Eastern Highway at Northam and Albany Highway near Cranbrook. It is the main throughfare for the WA southern wheatbelt and it runs parallel along its complete lenght with the Perth-Albany railway. It is signed as State Route 120.
The highway follows the valleys of Avon an Hotham Rivers until Narrogin, thereon southwards closely paralelling the Albany Highway until they meet near Cranbrook.The Albany Highway being the main highway to Perth, have links to all the towns along the Great Southern Highway. As the highway serves the southern wheatbelt, many of its towns have prominent grain silos.
