The Greek Air Force (Greek: Πολεμική Αεροπορία) is one of the braches of the Greek Armed Forces.

History

The Greek Air Force has a long history throughout the world. It was established in September of 1912, with help from French experts. The Greek Air Force participated in the Balkan Wars, the First World War, the Campaign in Asia Minor, and World War II. During the Second World War, the entire force was destroed by the Germans. In the 1950s, the Greek Air Force was reorganized under NATO's standards, since becoming a member of NATO
