Gundam SEED: Special Edition follows the conclusion of Gundam SEED on TV. These episodes compile the story of the TV series in the same way as the movies for the original Gundam series and Turn A Gundam, only in episodic form rather than films. So Special Edition episodes feature some new scenes and tweaks to previously animated scenes. The first two episodes aired on Japanese TV in March 2004, followed by two more in July The final two episodes are set for a DVD-only release in October.
