Guy Hamilton - Definition and Overview

Guy Hamilton (born September 16, 1922, Paris, France) was a noted film director. He made 22 movies from the 1950s to the 1980s, including four installments of the James Bond series, based on the novels by Ian Fleming:

His more recent movies include Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985) and Force 10 from Navarone (1978).

Hamilton was orignially chosen to direct Superman in 1978, but due to tax reasons he was only allowed to be in England for thirty days, where production had moved at the last minute. The film then went to Richard Donner.
