Gyromagnetic ratio - Definition

Gyromagnetic ratio is the ratio of magnetic dipole moment to the angular momentum of a system. It arises in Magnetic_Resonance_Imaging, in the Larmor_equation. The ratio, which is different for every nucleus, simply indicates the frequency with which a nucleus will precess around an externally applied magnetic field.
