HMS Minotaur was a British Royal Navy ironclad of the Minotaur class.
She was launched on 12 December 1863, at 400 feet long and a displacement of around 10,000 tons; whilst only slightly heavier than her predecessor HMS Warrior, she had twice the weight of armour plate.
She was extensively refitted in 1873, and sold for breakup in 1922. Before breakup, she was used as a training ship, and in this time was known as HMS Ganges and HMS Boscawen II.
See HMS Minotaur for other ships of this name.
