Hamilton Standard, a famous aircraft propeller part supplier, was founded in 1910 by Thomas F. Hamilton. Charles Lindbergh's "Spirit of St. Louis" used a propeller from the predecessor company of Hamilton Standard, Standard Steel Propeller Company.
