Company interactions with the Korean legal system

In 1999, Hanjin Group paid the largest penalty tax ever levied in Korea to that time; 541.6 billion won ($445.8 million) [1] (http://www2.gol.com/users/coynerhm/government_crackdown_on__hanjin.htm). The Korean Herald even suggested that one of it's three managing Tycoons might be imprisoned due to "prosecution on tax-evasion charges". The chairman of Hanjin also stood trial for involvement in "illegal campaign funding"[2] (http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/nation/200404/kt2004041216125010510.htm)
