Hannity and Colmes - Definition and Overview

Hannity & Colmes is an American television program on the FOX News television network featuring conservative host Sean Hannity and liberal host Alan Colmes. Both are also talk radio hosts.

Most of the time, guests are invited on to debate the two hosts on current and breaking news stories. FOX News points to this show as an example of balance when critics claim that the network is too conservative. However, critics claim that Hannity often receives more speaking time and expresses his points more forcefully than the self-described "moderate" (1995) Colmes.

For most issues, Hannity and Colmes invite a conservative guest and a liberal guest who debate the issue in question. Also, there are occasional one-on-one sit down interviews. Normally, in these interviews, Sean Hannity interviews conservative guests and Alan Colmes interviews liberal guests.
