The Heechee are a fictional alien race from the science fiction works of Frederik Pohl. The Heechee are portrayed as an exceedingly advanced star-travelling race from the past history of the galaxy, before humankind began space exploration. The books are primarily concerned with human study of Heechee artifacts.

- The Gateway Trip (1990)
- The Boy Who Would Live Forever : A Novel of Gateway (2004)
Two computer adventure games based on the series were made by Legend Entertainment: Frederik Pohl's Gateway (1992), and a sequel, Gateway 2: Homeworld (1993). The former was released as freeware in 1996.
