Heerhugowaard (population: 47,239 in 2004) is a town in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 39.97 km² (of which 0.72 km² water).
The municipality of Heerhugowaard also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Broekhorn, Butterhuizen, De Noord, Draai, Frik, Kabel, 't Kruis, Veenhuizen, Verlaat.
