Helen Chenoweth-Hage (born January 27, 1938) is a politician from the state of Idaho
Chenoweth-Hage was born in Topeka, Kansas and she attended Whitworth College. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 1994 pledging to limit herself to three terms. As a member of the House, Chenoweth insisted on being addressed as 'Congressman Chenoweth'. She was referred to by critics as a "poster-child for the militias". While in Congress, she claimed that federal agents were using Black helicopters to enforce the Endangered Species Act. Chenoweth was a critic of President Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal, although she admitted that she had an affair with a married man in the 1980s. She claimed that her case was different than the Clinton/Lewinsky case since she was divorced and a private citizen at the time. Chenoweth married rancher Wayne Hage in 1999. Chenoweth served in Congress until 2001, declaring that term limits were bad policy but keeping her pledge.
