Hengyang is the second largest city of China's Hunan Province. It straddles the Xiang River about 300 miles South of Changsha, Hunan's first city.

HengYang is a busy and growing industrial city.

In the early 1990s about 50 people were killed there during a stampede to catch a train at the railway station.
