Henry Wellesley, born on the 20th of January, 1773. Died on the 27th of April, 1847. Henry Wellesley was an English politician, born in Ireland, to Garret Wesley, the first Earl of Mornington. Among his older brothers were Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.

Henry Wellesley was created Baron Cowley in 1828, while his older brother Arthur was Prime Minister.

His son, Henry Richard Charles Wellesley, was created Earl Cowley.
