Herbert Klein, a Representative from New Jersey; born in Newark, N.J., June 24, 1930; B.A., Rutgers University, 1950, J.D., Harvard University School of Law, 1953, LL.M., New York University, 1958; served in the United States Air Force, 1954-1956; admitted to the bar in 1953 and commenced the practice of law in Clifton, N.J.; member, New Jersey State assembly, 1972-1976; executive director, Passaic County Democratic Committee, 1977-1981; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Third Congress (January 3, 1993-January 3, 1995).
