Herbert Richard Wehner (July 11 1906 - January 19 1990) was a German politician.
He was a member of the German Communist Party (KPD) as a young man. Between 1933 and 1935 he participated in the communist resistance against the National Socialist (Nazi) regime.
Wehner later joined the German Social Democratic Party (SPD). In 1949 he became a member of the Bundestag (the German parliament) and remained an elected member until his retirement from politics in 1983.
Wehner died in 1990 in Bonn, Germany after a long illness.
