Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima - Definition and Overview

Higashihiroshima (東広島市; -shi, lit. East Hiroshima) is a city located in Hiroshima, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 127,886 and the density of 443.36 persons per km². The total area is 288.45 km².

The city was founded on April 20, 1974.
