Hills District is an informal term for the north-western suburbs of Sydney, Australia, consisting of Baulkham Hills Shire and the western part of Hornsby Shire. It is so-called because of its geographical location, and the fact that several of its suburbs have the term 'Hills' on their names, such as Pennant Hills, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and Winston Hills.
The Hills District is characterized by its relatively affluent households, usually families living in low-density housings.
