Hivites - Definition and Overview |
The Hivites were one of the peoples displaced by the Hebrew conquest of Canaan. They may have consisted of Kadmonites, Kenites, Kenizzites, and Rephaims.
It is probable that they were a branch of the Hittites. They subsequently disappeared as a people, although there were still Hivite communities at the time of King Solomon.
