Hongo - Definition and Overview

For the woman who was at one point the oldest person on Earth, see Kamato Hongo.

Hongo (本郷) is a district of Tokyo located in Bunkyo Ward, due north of the Imperial Palace and west of Ueno. It is best known for being the location of the University of Tokyo's main campus.
