Horizons (Disney) - Definition and Overview

Horizons was an attraction at Walt Disney World's Epcot sponsored by General Electric. It is a dark ride which explores some visions of the 21st century. Riders first experience a 1950s perception of the future with android servants, then more modern ideas such as arid-zone agriculture, ocean colonization, and space colonization.

In January 1999, Horizons permanently closed to make room for the new attraction.
