Horizons was an attraction at Walt Disney World's Epcot sponsored by General Electric. It is a dark ride which explores some visions of the 21st century. Riders first experience a 1950s perception of the future with android servants, then more modern ideas such as arid-zone agriculture, ocean colonization, and space colonization.

In January 1999, Horizons permanently closed to make room for the new Mission: SPACE attraction.

Timeline

• October 1, 1983 Horizons opens one year to the day after Epcot
• 1993 General Electric's sponsorship ends
• 1994 Horizons closes
• December 1995 Horizons opens while other attractions are rennovated
• January 9, 1999 Horizons closed for good
• 2000 Horizons demolished in mid-summer to make way for Mission: SPACE
