Hormozgan - Definition and Overview |

Hormozgan is one of the 30 provinces of Iran. It is in the south of the country, facing Oman. Its center is Bandar Abbas.
Many of Iranian islands of the Persian Gulf are a part of this province. Some of these islands are: Qeshm, Kish, Greater and Lesser Tunbs, Abu Musa, Lavan, Hengam, Hormuz, Sirri, Forur, Forurgan and Hendurabi.
Among the major cities of this province are Bandar Abbas, Bandar Lengeh, Minab, Bandar Charak, Jask, Bastak, Bandar Khamir and Fin.
