Horsea is a Pokémon that resembles a blue seahorse. It is a water type with Pokémon number 116. Horsea evolves into Seadra.

Name Origin

Horsea's name comes from an inverting of the parts of the compound word seahorse.

Anime Appearance

In the cartoon, Misty has a Horsea which she uses as one of her main fighters. They say Horsea is noble and is supposed to be like a princess horse. Because of this they use her to try to get Snorlax to wake up.
