 Hounslow West tube station - Definition 

Station on the Piccadilly Line, Zone 5, between Hatton Cross and Hounslow Central.

Opened as Hounslow Barracks 21 July 1884, renamed 1 December 1925, and resited with the extension to Hatton Cross.

In August 2004, a teenager was stabbed by a gang on the platform at this station. Despite efforts of a tube driver, the 19 year old died. which lead to the closure of the Piccadilly line for a morning, stranding holiday makers who could no longer get to Heathrow Airport. Two teenagers were arrested shortly afterwards.
