A Huckster is the primary spell-caster of the Deadlands: Weird West rpg. A Huckster draws his powers from the Manitou, who gift him with the magical energy needed to fuel his spells provided he first defeats them in a game of cards. Because of this, Hucksters usually disguise themselves as wandering card-players (hence the name Huckster) and when a spell is cast a Huckster needs at least one hand free and empty as the metaphysical poker hand appears just before the spell is cast.

The secrets to becoming a Huckster are hidden in the most obvious place; a book of card tricks and other gambling games called Hoyle's Book of Games. Written by Hoyle, the first to ever "dice with the devil" in the Weird West, all Hucksters get their start reading this book.
