Hydrus - Definition and Overview |
Hydrus (Latin for Hydra) is a minor southern constellation. It was introduced by Johann Bayer in 1603. It should not be confused with Hydra.
Mythology
Since it was introduced in the 17th century, and due to its southern position was not visible from the mediterranian, there is no earlier mythology associated with Hydrus, despite its name.
