The Hyundai Motor Group (KSE:005380), headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, is South Korea's largest automobile group. Chung Mong Koo has been the Chairman and CEO since the split of the Hyundai Group since 2001.
History
The Hyundai Group, founded by Chung Ju-yung in 1947 as a construction company, was once South Korea's biggest conglomerate (chaebol). The company was split into five separate, independent business entities in 2001.
