The Internet Underground Music Archive (IUMA) was the pioneer of on-line music. IUMA was started by Rob Lord and Jeff Patterson, both from University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1993. Before the World Wide Web or the Internet were popular, IUMA was truly the main attraction of the Internet for the general public.
