Iakov Borisovich Zeldovich (Я́ков Бори́сович Зельдо́вич, March 8, 1914 – December 2, 1987) was a Soviet physicist working in the fields of shock waves, cosmology, and general relativity.
He won the Bruce Medal in 1983 and the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1984.
