In Slavic and/or Russian mythology, Iarilo (Russian) or Yarilo, Erilo or Jarilo (Polish), is the god of spring, also associated with fertility, sexuality, love, youth, strength, fury, and males. He appears as a boy or young man dressed in white clothing riding on a white horse with a floral garland in his hair, holding wheat stalks and a skull. Alternatively said to be the husband of Mati-Syra-Zemlya ("Moise Mother Earth") or Mokos (often referred to as a later version of Mati-Syra-Zemlya). The son of Dazhbog and Lada or Veles and Diva. Brother to Iarila.
