Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah Wali (1550-1580) was the third ruler of Hyderabad under the Qutb Shahi dynasty. He lived in exile as an honored quest of the Raja of Vijayanagar, where he developed a love for Telugu which he patronized and encouraged during his reign. The strengthening of the Golconda Fort and construction of Hussain Sagar lake are some of his major contributions to Hyderabad.
