Igor Belanov (born September 25, 1960 in Odessa, Soviet Union) is a soccer midfielder, who was named European Footballer of the Year in 1986. Belanov played for SKA Odessa (1979-1980), Chernomorets Odessa (1981-1984), and Dinamo Kiev (1985-1989), for whom he won the Cup Winners Cup in 1986. He scored a hat trick for the Soviet Union in the 1986 World Cup against Belgium in a losing effort.
Belanov finished his career with Borussia Mönchengladbach (1989-1991), Eintracht Brownshveig (1991-1995), before returning to Ukraine to Chernomorets (1995-1996) and Azovetz Mariupol (1996-1997).
