Immigration Restriction Act - Definition and Overview

The Immigration Restriction Act is an American act that was implemented in 1924. It restricted the immigration to America of people from southern, central and eastern European countries. This act was based on the theories of eugenicists, who claimed that these people scored lower on IQ tests.
