Imparja Television (callsign IMP) is a rural Australian television station. Starting on 2 January 1988, it is based in Alice Springs, and broadcasts via satellite to all of remote central and eastern Australia, with a footprint covering a third of the nation.
It initially carried programming from all three major Australian networks, but since the aggregation of market area with QSTV (now Seven Central), it carries a combination of Nine and Ten programs.
It is owned by community groups of various types, from indigenous Land Councils to the Commonwealth Government. In theory the government could control it, but it practice CAAMA (Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association) does.
