Indian Village is a historic neighborhood located on Detroit's east side. It boasts a number of architecturally-significant homes built in the early 20th century. It has managed to avoid much of the blight and decay that has characterized other historic subdivisions in the city. The Manoogian Mansion, traditional residence of the city mayor, is located near Indian Village. The home was given to the city in 1966.
