Indology refers to study of India. It is the study of cultural aspects such as religions of India (Vedic, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, etc.), philosophies (nyaya, vaisheshika, meemamsa, vedanta, charvaka, etc.), art and architecture, spiritual and social aspects, etc.
In a word, indology is intellectual pursuit of the idea behind India.
