Ingersoll (2001 population 10,977) is a town on the Thames River in southwestern Ontario, Canada.

The town was founded and named for Thomas Ingersoll, a Loyalist who fled the United States, and Laura Secord's father.

The area was well known for cheese production, and was home to the first such factory in Canada.

Ingersoll is the hometown of prominent Canadian author David Manicom.

Heavy manufacturing is Ingersoll's largest industry.
