Institutes of the Christian Religion - Definition and Overview

Institutes of the Christian Religion is John Calvin's seminal work on Reformed theology. It forms the basis of Presbyterian and Reformed churches' theology, usually called Calvinism. It was published in Latin in 1536, and in French in 1541.
