Intercommunion Intercommunion

Intercommunion - Definition and Overview

In a narrow sense, intercommunion is the same thing as open communion: the practice of serving communion to all Christians rather than only to those of one's own denomination. In a broader sense, it is an exchange of any of various degrees of mutual recognition among different Christian churches; see also full communion.
